To be part of a family is to be in a relationship.
There is an opportunity for a closeness and trust that cannot occur outside family. With this possibility for closeness is the possibility of hatred and estrangement. It is not easy to maintain positive relationships with those that we are naturally closest to. There are tensions that exist between family members that are not present in other relationships. Being in close proximity means that you know a persons great attributes as well as their faults.
Maintaining family relationships are a tremendous challenge.

I'm the only daughter in my family.
People assume and think that it's good being an only child.
But, it's otherwise.
Being the only child is not as awesome as you think.
I'm a quiet person but that does not mean I don't communicate.
People who don't know me very well will think I am unfriendly and stuck up.
But, trust me, I am extremely friendly.
I tend to be pampered by people who are really close to me.
I am childish on some days.
I'm very simple and that does not mean I am simple minded, okae ?
I tend to respect people who respect me.
I despise hypocrites and especially liars.
I am in love with cats despite the fact that they are really nasty when they bite me.
Most important of all, my dad and mum are my precious.
